The band has a 100% rebooking record and will always ensure that your evening goes smoothly. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they will always tailor their music carefully to the event. Each band member has spent a lifetime in music and their dedication to making every event extra-special is the key to the incredible success of this band. From playing at resorts throughout the world and on cruise ships, the guys have honed their skills to perfect a show that is specifically aimed at the over-40s – and the more ‘classy’ audience. In true style, the guys will play a set (around 1hr 20) of easy-listening, cool, dinner-jazz whilst guests are gathering or eating. Thereafter it’s party time – and the band will play a constant string of popular hits for dancing for two hours! You can choose the style, even the songs – the band has a massive repertoire of pop, soul, swing, jazz, rock and blues from over 5 decades to choose from – or just let the band do what they do best; look at the audience and know what to play! The line-up is usually a four-piece – but this can be changed to suit budgets and stages from a duo to a 6-piece.
The usual line-up is always: Phil Barrett (bandleader, lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, midi sax), Tony Crabtree (drums, percussion, vocals), Paul Farnell (bass, vocals), Jane Kelleher (lead vocals, percussion). Real Class function band only take around 35-40 jobs each year and as they are very popular, it’s always best to book them early to avoid disappointment.
